It appears based on a recent Instagram post that Ryan McCartan is alluding to upcoming dates where he will return as Gatsby, most likely on days that Jeremy Jordan is going on tour with his band.

McCartan was on today(both shows). Jordan has a lot of upcoming scheduled absences. So it's possible they asked Ryan to come back to fill in for Jeremy's out dates.
The role of Jay Gatsby will be played by an understudy November 20-23; November 28-30; December 5-7; December 24-27; February 3-9; February 26 - March 2; March 8-9, ; and March 13-15.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
