I was watching the Ryan Reynolds interview with David Letterman where he was asked if there was something he's turned down and he said it was a movie. I'm wondering if anyone knows what musical movie it might have been. I'm wondering if it might have been like a Les Mis or Greatest Showman. Any ideas?

He doesn't seem to fit any characters in those movies. my guess is Corny Collins in Hairspray or one of the princes in Into The Woods

Corny Collins would make sense. I remember Jake Gyllenhaal was cast as Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods before he dropped out to do Nightcrawler instead, so maybe Ryan was considered before they went with Billy Magnussen.

Your question (as phrased) makes no sense. Did he (RR) specifically say it was a MUSICAL movie that he turned down? He's offered practically everything -- so why would Letterman ask if he's ever turned something down? There's also nothing to indicate that it was a film (let alone a musical film) that eventually would up getting made with someone else.

Wasn’t he attached to Bob: The Musical about a man who wakes up in a musical?
