Posted: 3/10/13 at 6:34pmNo! Kill this idea. It's a horrible show. Joan Rivers is supposed to be funny, she's not any good at drama. But then you have to sit through a scene where's she raped. Oy vey!
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

It's a one woman show and she was a star. Plus everyone knew Diana Rigg was going to win. I think they put Joan up just to see if they could split the Rigg vote.
The show really is bad.
ETA: The show only lasted 50 performances

It was admirable to see Rivers putting it all out there and giving a 100%, but it wasn't much of a play.
I wish I had seen her in the Neil Simon play, I understand she was pretty good.

Posted: 3/10/13 at 9:41pmI saw her in Broadway Bound. She was pretty good, but her voice was shot back then and that was the late-'80s. There are times when she's not screaming that her voice just isn't there.

Posted: 3/11/13 at 1:47pmShe wasn't terrible. She was.... fine, not a great performance, perhaps, but a decent one. Rivers has always longed to make her mark as an actress and she's certainly an interesting performer. It might be a lot of fun to see her in a new play or revival for which she's well cast. I have no interest in seeing this show again and doubt very much it will do any better than it did the first time.

I saw Rivers in BROADWAY BOUND and she was mediocre at best. She was reason I went and I know I entered the show in a very positive mindset.
