I can only go to the matinee, I'm glad I was able to get tickets for it.

Well consider yourself lucky that you were at least given the opportunity to rebook your $5.00 tickets for a future date.
Every single one of the $5.00 winners for the Mary Louise Parker show was screwed, as they did not allow people to reschedule due to very high ticket demand. They instead got the "opportunity" to purchase $70.00 tickets.
I sure hope that the corporate sponsor gets their money refunded for each ticket that was not rescheduled (for this show & the other show), since I *believe* (not 100% sure) that the corporate sponsor is the one who allowed this subsidized price by paying for the bulk of the ticket price.
Why they can't go back to the "in person" lottery, is beyond me. It would solve all these problems.
Aw that sucks. Shameless plug alert: If any of you can't win lotto tickets for Saved this weekend, mosey on down next door to The Kirk Theatre at Theatre Row where I'm performing in a show called Keen Teens. PM for more info.

Isn't it always a risk you run with ANY performance but particularly first preview?
They can't sell you tickets that they don't have. Perhaps full price tix holders rec'd notification a little earlier. It SOUNDS as if they tried to pick a date that had the MOST availibility. (BUT: I would have thought, to be honest, that they would have said you could re book your tix ANY time during the previews...but not guaranteeing where your seat could be.)
But I don't think they are out to get you or to create any kind of $5 ruse.
