I saw Saycon on the 24th...
She sounded like she had a mix of a southern accent...with a British accent.
Weirdest thing I've ever heard.
She was incredible when she belted.
She was weak when she wasn't belting. Baaahhh. (yes, like a sheep).
The producers would be stupid to bring Ana to NY because she is a nice name for Chicago. I mean, the show is big enough itself... but to keep it thriving I'm sure the name helps.
I just really want Stephanie to make it to Florida!!
it would be kinda crazy to move her so soon. I'm hoping for Stephanie
I think it would be kinda bittersweet for her and all though since she was orignally supposed to open the show.

Here's an idea:
Ana comes to NY as Elphaba.
Stephanie comes to NY as Elphaba understudy.
*laughs hysterically*
Everything in this room is edible. Even I am edible...but that's called caniblism. -hahaha Parks good movie
This thread marks the worst case of stupidity I have read. Not referring to Parks or deck here, but to the people who apparently "know" everything about the casting of this show.
You know nothing. Get used to it.

if SJB takes over on in NY...who will take over full time on the road? and what was that about SJB supposedly being the original?
It's a long story.
Let's just leave it all at that. If you really want to know...PM somebody for the love of all that is good and holy.
What is up witht he non-Sho love? I think she's brilliant as Elphie, and she's so adorable too.
Saycon is also very good, and given time...I think she could do some good things.
I heard from a friend of a friend of a cousin of the stage door man that Idina is coming back to play Elphaba on Broadway.

What show is Saycon supposed to be departing Wicked to take?
Is it The Color Purple?

Saycon deserves to have a lead in a musical, she's great.
Yes, I believe it is "The Color Purple" as Netti...not sure I spelled that correctly.

I'm interested in seeing any of the aforementioned leading ladies. But I'd rather see Eden and Ana come to NY before Stephanie.
Oh, and I happen to love Shoshana's Elphaba. I was really turned off by her acting the first time I saw her in the role and impressed with the vocals. However I saw the show a week or two ago and I really enjoyed Bean's interpretation. To each his own, though.
Are we even sure Saycon has been offered TCP?
