SMASH - Ellis and Dev are leaving!

If Will Chase is out, and they get a new Joe, can they also cut 'Lexington and 52nd Street'?? Most annoying song ever. Hurry hurry cut me out...

Thank you, rjm. I thought I was the only one. That song sounds like a bad imitation of the title song from SUNSET BOULEVARD.

Addy, I kind of feel the same way, yet I'm not so bothered knowing these changes (with the exception of Ellis).

Now that d'Aracy James is leaving. I'd like to see him return to theatre. Maybe as the Baker in 'Into the Woods' or as Daddy Warbucks or Rooster Hannigan in 'Annie'.

I don't know how long is contract is with Newsies, but it seems like Jeremy Jordan could easily play Danny.

Possible plot development -- Julia could actually be pregnant and due to her age have a child who is mentally handicapped and. . . oh wait a minute. . . she already does. Never mind.

New characters? Actors to play Shelley Winters and Truman Capote like I've been suggesting all along?

It would be great for Shelley and Truman to do a patter song a la "Who Taught Her Everything She Knows?"

Jaime Cepero just was just an ill fit for Ellis. I blame Telsey!! I feel bad for the guy.

The Will Chase, Brian D'Arcy James, and Dev storylines had nowhere to go, its probably best they cut them. Although how they'll get rid of D'Arcy James' character is a mystery (My guess: Hastily and without logic).

Inappropriate and insensitive post.

I'm with Addy on the lack of a spoiler warning - it's more polite to say characters are being eliminated and then give people a choice whether to click and find out which characters are being referred to.

That said, I'm glad the new showrunner appears to not be completely clueless, as he's chopped out the most useless dross in the ensemble with almost perfect accuracy. ("Perfect" would mean getting rid of the execrable Leo, too.)

Inappropriate and insensitive, yes, but you have to admit that Leo has a touch of the Schiavo about him.

Howzabout killing Ellis in a Psycho-like shower scene? That way those of you who hate him get to see him killed and those of us who find him adorably cute get to see him all naked and soapy. Win-win.
