SOUTH PACIFIC Rush Questions

Has anybody done the South Pacific student rush? They start selling the tickets at 5 pm--how early should I be there?

They're sold 2 hours prior to curtain Tuesday-Thursday. I'd say an hour prior to that is safe.

when I rushed a few weeks ago, there were enough empty seats in the loge that lead me to believe you could get them any time up until curtain.

where is the loge? sorry...is that a silly question?
I'm just wondering if they ever sell student tickets that are in the orchestra...? thanks!

the loge is the mezzanine at Lincoln Center.

I believe they sell whatever's left as student rush, but I might be wrong. I've only ever sat in the loge, but it seems like all of the seats in the theater are good.

The first time I rushed, I was fifth row orchestra on the left side. Fantastic seats. The second time I rushed, I was first row loge on the right side. Both times I was one of the first in line, so it just depends on what they have that day.

I was there last Thursday and every seat in the house was full at curtain.

I got my rush ticket about 1.5 hours to curtain and ended up in back row of the loge.
