pretty voice but she's always slightly ahead of the tempo, and it's more obvious here in this duet. it makes me nervous.

I do like Susan Boyle, but its a huge mistake to have her sing a duet with Paige, it really accentuated her shortcomings. Paige has been singing that song for years and her power, presence and phrasing really overpowered Boyle. Who did Elaine's hair though? Hated it.

What an amazing full circle for Susan Boyle.

When she first stood on that stage infront of Simon and the world and said that she wanted to be like Elaine Paige, everyone laughed. The mere fact that Susan has made it to the point of singing a duet with Elaine is a true testament to following your dreams and aiming high. Yes, I agree Susan was off with her tempo and didn't perform at Elaine's level for that performance, but you can see her literally shaking. To perform that well while standing next to your personal idol.... not bad at all.
And Elaine's face was so supportive... her tenderness towards Susan did make me tear up.

Susan was slightly ahead of the music at times, but I'm always slightly ahead or behind the music myself so I'm not one to criticize. Elaine looked and sounded fantastic. Whoever put Susan in that dress should be shot.

I can't be too critical about Susan's appearance or performance. One of her dreams was realized with the continued support of her favorite performer. I think it's rather touching and inspiring.
