Is there a good time to get there? Have the cancellations been plentiful? Help...

I don't know if they were available for sale, but when I went on Friday night there were a few stretches of empty seats towards the front of the orchestra. Four seats here, three seats there. Again, I don't know if they were held house seats or people just didn't show up, but they were empty.

Also, I would call BAM and see if there are still any partial view seats available. I bought one and I didn't consider it to be partial view at all. Sitting in L26, I didn't miss a single second of staging as nothing is played too far to either side.

I don't know what it's been like since the reviews were published, but a friend of mine got cancellations for the first preview rather easily.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

I called the day it opened (before the Times review) and all partial view seats were sold out. I'm guessing the matinee would be easier to get cancellations...?

I had a partial view ticket for today. Last row of the gallery, and I don't know why it was considered partial view. I could see everything.
