SUNDAY w/GEORGE, CURTAINS, TOP GIRLS & HAMLET Closing June 29

Some great shows closing on Sunday, June 29.

SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
Utterly incredible piece. I think the term "revival" is an understatement. This production completely breathed new air into it... a total rebirth. I'm using the $15 HipTix deal to see it again on Saturday, June 28 at 8PM

TOP GIRLS
I'll be getting a $26.50 student-rush ticket for Churchill's new play at MTC on Friday June 27 at 8PM.

CURTAINS
Believe it or not, I've not seen this musical (but I know how it ends). Thanks to the kindness of strangers (Courtny), I'm all lined-up for a $39 TDF ticket for Thursday, June 26 at 8PM.

HAMLET
Shakespeare in Central Park. I'm going to try my luck with the Stand-By line June 25 afternoon (I can't do the morning-wait). Or I'll try the online lotto. My co-worker got into a line ~50 people last Friday ~5:30PM and was able to get seats no-problem when the theatre opened at 7:45PM (Just takes patience)

"Curtains" announced a closing this winter. "Top Girls" was a limited run, right? Try TKTS for both of these. They're always there.

Curtains is on tdf for Wed 6/25 and Thu 6/26 but not Fri 6/27. Sorry you will have missed it.

Hamlet didn't have a long period of time before the official opening night until closing your right. And, even if you count the preview performances it still had a short run. Well, I guess that's Shakespeare In The Park for you.

I'll be at Curtains this Sunday! I had to debate between Sunday and Curtains but I just have to be there for Curtains' last. It'll be a fun and sad day. I love that show a lot.

I'll be at CURTAINS as well...it will be my second time seeing the show (my first was 2/28/07). I'm sure it will get a great sendoff.

I had considered seeing Curtains and Sunday again, and still am undecided about Top Girls. I'm not sure which, if any will happen this week. I want to like Sunday more than I do and give it another viewing, but eh. And Curtains is just expensive. Top Girls...is it worth it?

I'm going to be lucky enough to catch Sunday on Thursday and Curtains on Friday. This will be my second time seeing Curtains, I saw it in early August last year, but my family hasn't and I raved to them about it, so to Curtains we go.

I've seen sunday already, but I'm trying to convince my mom to take me to see it Friday. Otherwise, I'm seeing Curtain's closing.

Show that needs a theater + vacant theater /= perfect match.

Sunday would be horrible in CITS. How would the projections work?

I'll be at Sunday on the 29th for the third time. I'll be so sad to see this wonderful production go. I wanted to see Curtains again too, but does anyone know if Debra Monk was back in the show last night?

Whizzer- I was there last night and yes, she was back for the first time in about two weeks. It was obvious she was sick, but she was as fabulous as usual anyway!

I wish I could attend some of the Closing performances (June 29) but that is also the day of the PRIDE MARCH and Dance at The Pier...

PLEASE! If you attend any of the Closing Nights, report-back on the festivities (I imagine there's going to be quite a hullabaloo at CURTAINS and plenty of tears at SUNDAY).

I'll miss Curtains. Sunday, I'm completely ambivalent about, I really don't have an opinion on what I saw, and I'm not sure why. Hamlet just never fit into my schedule and I'm seeing Top Girls Saturday afternoon.
