Sally Struthers in "The Best Little *house in Texas". Somehow I can't see her as Mona.

Well, it's sold out. But I'm sure you could second act it. Struthers will eat at least one audience member before intermission, I'm sure.

I always thought it was funny to see her in those commericals about 10-15 years ago asking for donations to buy food for kids in 3rd world countries.

But Miss Mona needs an eensy bit of sex appeal. Struthers left that behind in the 1980's.

Miss Mona needs a "world weary" and quietness about her. Struthers is great with broad comedy. She has a long way to go to play world weary.

Well, Gotham, I think she can handle it. I've seen her do a beautiful job with roles that called for drama. Let's see what the audience and critics have to say. I wish I could see it!

Oh, I like Sally Struthers and I think she is very talented but I do have a hard time seriously picturing her as Miss Mona. I certainly would love to see her do it though.

She played Dolly in Hello Dolly for the same company last year.
I didn't see it but I heard she was pretty great (after a few performances).

Dolly Parton wasn't exactly rail-thin when she did it...I think Sally will be fine. She has alot of stage experience and I for one think she was fantastic in Five Easy Pieces--very small role, but memorable. People who only know her for the Save the Children ads and Gloria will be surprised.

Yes, she played Miss Hannigan and did a fine job. No Dorothy Loudon but she was good.
