Let's not forget she was the voice of "Pebbles Flintstone" on The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show (1971)!
re: Sally Struthers#51
Posted: 9/6/05 at 10:09pmI saw her in Annie. She was serviceable...nothing a moderately trained broadway actor could do as well or better.

Posted: 9/6/05 at 10:11pmOkay, middie, NOW you have a point.
re: Sally Struthers#53
Posted: 9/6/05 at 10:13pmStruthers was on Broadway. She did The Female Odd Couple and Grease.
re: Sally Struthers#54
Posted: 9/6/05 at 10:18pmTime for her to come back!

Yo DGrant...yes, I'm one of the cowboys. It's a great track...lots of physical stuff and The Aggie Dance just knocks 'em out every night. (Plus I have to admit it's a little fun to hear the audience scream when we take our towels off and show our bare rumps) =)
Why hasn't she been back to Broadway...from what I gather she likes doing her TV work and the occasional regional production. She just wants to have fun and do good work. Like I said, I can't say enough nice things about her (and I'm the one to be nasty if someone deserves it!). The first time she met all of us she gave each and every person a HUUUUUGE hug and told us how happy she was to work with us. Then she got down on her hands and knees and crawled over to the pit to shake hands with our musical director. That's how she is.
Plus, I always see her offstage during our Aggie Number cheering us on...it's so great to see.
Yeah, I know what I said sounds cheesy and stupid but it's the honest truth.
Hope you MNs can come and visit the Whorehouse!

Posted: 9/7/05 at 9:56amWell, I am so glad to hear good things about her! And if she's working steadily (and it seems she is) on the tour and regional circuit, why go to Broadway? Break A Leg, Louie!

Posted: 9/7/05 at 10:14amFirst time I met her (after some phone contact) I got one of those hugs too! She's a doll. I'm crazy about her.
re: Sally Struthers#58
Posted: 9/7/05 at 3:27pmCould she play Mama Morton in Chicago? Does she have the pipes?
re: Sally Struthers#59

I don't know if she has quite the pipes for it but I still think she could pull it off. She's so sweet -- it would give her Mama a nice little new angle.
Still working on pictures for you guys...

Posted: 9/7/05 at 5:50pmShe's a real talent and a professional with experience, which is more than I can say for a lot of others out there, but I don't want to go there. She'll wow the audience with her experience and her flair for comedy. SHe's a great gift to the theater . . . .

Does the director keep his tongue firmly planted in HIS cheek to keep it out of the Aggies'?
Glad the show was received well - and hope you have a great run!

Posted: 9/8/05 at 1:36pmCongrats, Louie! And yay, Sally!! Although some of us aren't the least bit surprised by that review.

I always liked Sally.
I think Charlene Tilton would be good as Miss Mona too.
re: Sally Struthers#70
Posted: 9/15/05 at 11:28amThat's funny...our director actually made a joke the other day that Charlene Tilton would be playing Mona on Sunday matinees.
re: Sally Struthers#72
Posted: 9/15/05 at 1:16pmIt's funny how everyone seems to think that Miss Mona should be stick thin, young and beautiful like all the whores. She RUNS the chicken ranch, is a mother-figure to all the girls and "retired" from the "business" to run the ranch. It's not necessary for her to be skinny and cute, just strong and independent.

I saw the Ann-Margret tour in Indy. It was fun, but I was about as far back in the audience as you can get.

Posted: 9/15/05 at 1:49pmI know Hanna, which is weird, cause Dolly played her back in the REALLY big days...I always picture a Mae West-type or a Nell Carter type...
