Glad to see that summer theatre lives! Last year she was Miss Mona in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".
I was in Whorehouse with her last summer in MN...such a great actress for the role and one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Can't say enough good things about her...I think she's a bit better suited for Mona than Dolly (having seen her do it two years prior) but catching her live is always fun =)
I'm seeing her on Monday night!

I'd love to see it but I am clear over on the other side of the USA! Please give us a full report!
Louie, "Whorehouse" is one of my favorites! I'll bet she was a great Miss Mona!
I was soooooo close to seeing Andrea in Cabaret at that playhouse last week. You have no idea how much Id rather have seen that than go to the beach.
Sally is a very, very talented woman, in addition to being a very, very nice lady. A total pro!
I did "Mame" with her back in 2002 at Musical Theatre West in Long Beach, California. She, literally, stopped the show every night when she sang "Gooch's Song."
I wish I could see her in "Hello, Dolly!"
A class act all the way!
I sincerely hope the production is better than than the last 'tour' I saw. It was in Baltimore...The Music Man starring Tony Randall (RIP). a long time ago. He couldn't really pull it off...except to his Odd Couple 'groupies'...and it was a lackluster production.
Edit: Does anyone recall Sally with Rita Moreno and James Coco in Wally's Cafe on Broadway. It was far from a hit; what year did that play?

Sally is a gem and a real theatre trouper. I saw her several times in GREASE and she was out in the audience every night bringing the house down in laughs. Bravo Sally.
She was a riot in GREASE! I would love to see her as Dolly Levi.
She'd be a great Madam M. in Wicked... No, Elphaba, no, Maureen in Rent. Actually, if she was a bit younger, and by "bit", I mean... yeah! She'd be great at anything. Peter Pan, even!
No disrespect to Miss Struthers! I really do think she is great!!

Oh William T (or BDT
)...you saw Wicked too much in MN...I thought you said you were trying to get it off your mind??
But yes, Sally would make a good Madame Morrible. It would be hard to get better than Alma, though.
ok, my friends all laugh at me for saying this but I think she is brilliant too. I once saw her on the Rosie O'donnel show. It has to be my favorite moment ever on that show. Wish it was on Youtube. I love that she doesn't take herself so serioulsy. She ROCKS!
