Posted: 7/17/14 at 9:27pmI was just wondering if anyone has a Scandalous pre-braodway playbill (Saving Aimee) that they would like to sell or trade?

Posted: 7/17/14 at 11:33pmI have also been looking for one with no luck. I was able to track down a window card from "Saving Aimee" signed by the cast. Somebody sold it to me on eBay with a frame for $15. Keep checking eBay. That's what I always do.

Posted: 7/18/14 at 2:30amThe show did have its many flaws, but I still thought it was nice. Not my favorite, but nice. Carolee Carmello was stunning in it and if the show had lived longer she would have won the Tony.

Posted: 7/18/14 at 2:41amAgreed! While Patina was ABSOLUTELY deserving, part of me wanted there to be a big upset with either Carolee or Stephanie winning.

She was good in it, but this was still a long night at the theater. I mainly remember that Follow Me song, which seemed like it went on for a good 15 minutes.
I agree, though, anyone winning for this show certainly would upset a lot of people.

Posted: 7/18/14 at 3:06amWell considering Carolee got the sole nomination for the show it's not like it could have swept. Lol. On the cast recording the order goes: "Fallow Me Part 1", "A Girls Gotta Do...", "Fallow Me Part 2". So I could see how some would feel it was a bit drawn out.

2 major flaws in the show
The hideous set that was there for the entire show was problem #1. Secondly, they should have had someone younger playing the younger Aimee. Having Carolee do both roles was a major mistake. The show had its moments but did not deserve the crap thrown at it by many on this board. The critical reaction to this started my full blown cynicism I now have for Broadway.

Posted: 7/18/14 at 9:35amI thought Carolee was great as the younger Aimee.

Posted: 7/18/14 at 3:23pmSeattle area theaters don't generally do playbills do they? Are you looking for any type of program for the show?

Posted: 7/18/14 at 4:46pmThey do not have the traditional Playbill. They have a bigger version that more resembles a magazine. I have one from the the Young Frankenstein tryout and it fits into an 8x11 frame perfectly.

Posted: 7/19/14 at 2:11pmI believe I have a bunch of them in storage. I'm moving into my new home this coming weekend. When I unpack the box they are in I'll get back to you. And yes, it's more a magazine type playbill much like SIDE SHOW's recent Kennedy Center program.
