Saw Wicked! — Page 2

I was at the matinee yesterday. This show has wonderful sets, costumes, and two superb performances by the two girls. What is doesn't have is a good score. Can a musical be a hit without good music? They have poured money into this show to transform from it's San Fan state, and it is as tight as you'll see a show in previews, but unless the score will get rewritten, Cheno will continue her streak of being a star of a dud. Tey have made as much as they possibly could have with this material and I applaud them for that, but the score leaves you falling asleep. This cannot be a big hit.
