This reminds me of a musical I was doing a couple of years back. I have the tendency to spit when I am enunciating while singing. Of course being that I was in high school at the time the kids around me were bitching and moaning in an immature way "He spit on me." Of course the director and those involved didn't see the problem due to the fact that if they were all singing as clearly as they should be then they would all do this. Well, either that or that they should have been singing as clearly as I to the point where they all would have done the same thing so that it would have ended up being a non issue.
Wow, that whole tube of lipstick she used must be to emphasis her name -- SCARLETT!
I remember when we saw Brian F O Byrne in Frozen
I could have used a rain slicker.
Jonathan Groff was a human mist machine the one time I saw Spring Awakening. Through the light, there was a literal cloud of spittle coming out of his mouth at nearly all times.
Let us pray Ms. Johansson never collaborates with Michael Cerveris!
I know that accidental spitting while singing is normal but what does one do if your partner's spit lands on your eyeball? And, you can't help but close your eyes? What do actors typically do to remove it during a performance?
I've gotten pelted with a fellow actor's projectile saliva on multiple occasions. You just go on with what you're doing. Unless they're spitting a a giant loogie at you, it's no more than a misting. Totally manageable.

Um. Blink?
Groff was/is a HUGE spitter. Didn't matter what performance you saw. (Fan Girls took it as a badge of honor. There were many spitters in that cast -- Glenn Flesher (replcement Adult Men) was too.
You never forget an inside rain storm. The worst I endured was about 30 years ago in Boston, by Gary Sandy (of WKRP in Cincinnati fame) in Macbeth. We literally shrunk down into our seats to avoid him.
I just scrolled to the end of the link....the comments were disturbing to say the least. (Not having gone to that site before, I'm guessing it's the norm -- does randomly posting a sales link really ever help anyone???)
That's the problem with unmoderated chat,
