I've loved the song ever since I first heard it when we sang it in choir. Tru, there are better songs, but I still burst into tears the first time I saw Rent and saw them perform it.

"The only song i dont like in Rent is Without You. The lyrics are horrible, "without you, the lungs breath"? OOO, what a love song. I just think Larson wrote that in 10 minutes. "

I think Without You is such an amazing song. True, single lines do not sound like a love song ("Without you, the lungs breath"), but Jonathon's message in that song comes at the end where it all ties together. "...but I die, without you." Even though everything in the world goes on, they die without eachother. Now that's a love song!

I like the song a lot *my school choir is singing it next concert, lol* but I like the other songs from Rent better. I don't hate it though. I love it when Stevie Wonder sings it with the cast though!

love SEASONS OF LOVE, the harmony of the entire cast and the female soloist's high note, sends chills.

I've found that "Seasons of Love" is a lot more thrilling when heard or performed live than when listened to on the OBC. There's a reason they always use it in the middle school concerts. :)

Anyway, how can you possibly call that song the worst one in Rent when you have gems like "Without You," "I Should Tell You," and "Goodbye Love" to compare it to?

I adore Seasons of Love. The funny thing is that I basically grew up listening to it without knowing what it was. I just remembered the "525,600 minutes etc" parts and that tune always stuck in my head and then when I got the OBC I was thinking "Ohhh that sounds so familiar." A bit lame, I know, but that songs gets me every time. I wish I could hear it performed live. Someday maybe.

I love this song because it's message is beautiful. I'll admit it definitly isn't my favorite on the OBCR but I do listen to it.

One of my favorites, certainly not the best, IMO, but I love it. For my high school graduation, our superintendent quoted a bit of the song...resulting in me, going into a state of shock and almost falling out of my chair. And every single one of my friends saying to me, "Hey! They quoted that play you like so much!"

Seasonss of Love is what suckered me into wanting to see Rent.
It's not the best song of the musical, but its a good one.
