Hey guys, I recently started listening to the Secret Garden CD which I really enjoyed, and was mostly able to follow b/c I am very familiar with the recent WB movie that came out in the early 90s, with Maggie Smith as Matlock. Anywayz, on the CD I was confused by the character of Archibald's brother, who was not in the movie. He seemed to play the role Matlock played in the movie, to be caring but in a very nonsmart way, but then Mary accused him of trying to get Archibald out so he can control the house, anywayz can someone please explain more in depth me to the character of the brother, what were his intentions and goals, and what purpose he played in the show? Thanks.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
You mean Medlock? Don't worry about her, and the musical and basically all of the movies take their own respective liberties on the original story. Neville Craven is the "bad guy" (but he's bad in the way Javert is "bad" -- debatable) and ... there is no "z" in anyways.

But he's not actually a bad guy - at least I never played him that way - he really loves the boy and thinks of him as his own son, but can't come to terms with having lost Lily to Archibald. It is really a beautiful musical, one of my favorites to perform in and listen to.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"
Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
