I tried doing a search to see if anything was posted about it but I couldn't find anything. I'm thinking about going to see this tomorrow, has anyone seen it? Updated On: 8/4/10 at 09:22 PM

Saw it, had some nice moments and a good cast, but ultimately (for me, at least) not that interesting.

Haven't seen it, but search for the BMI Workshop podcast on iTunes to hear a great recording of Gavin Creel singing See Rock City!

I thought it was pretty great. I loved the simplicity of it and the fact that for musical theater it wasn't all cheery and "life is perfect." It had some good, smaller moments. I think some of the bits could use some reworking and the "alien encounter" part was a stupid way to end his story, but the set-up and staging kept me interested. I would recommend it.

The show as a whole doesn't really come together, but the cast is wonderful and much of the score is really great. It's definitely worth seeing.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Hi All - I've got two tickets for tonight's show that I can't use - $25 or best offer a piece if you're interested. I can meet you at the theater box office around 6:45 or 7 as the tickets are in my name.

I'm glad I went, I enjoyed the show a lot. The seating arrangement is definitely a little different but I liked the idea. Everyone had a great voice and I highly enjoyed some of the some songs. I would definitely recommend checking the show out, the lighting is fantastic.
