First of all, it's HARDLY mandatory to say that every woman mentioned on here should be Elphaba... however, it is my personal opinion that after hearing her sing the part of the narrator in JOSEPH that she has the voice for it. It would probably never happen, but I think she could pull it off. I am also very aware that this is not a WICKED thread, lol. Anyway, I've been thinking about it a little more and the show was actually pretty good. I wasn't altogether too satisfied immediately following the performance, but I've been listening to the CD and thinking about the show, and I think I just wasn't expecting certain elements. Anywho... lol, the CD was $22 and the track list is as follows: Prologue Any Dream Will Do Jacob and Sons/Joseph's Coat Poor, Poor Joseph One More Angel In Heaven Potiphar Close Every Door Go, Go, Go Joseph Pharaoh Story Poor, Poor Pharaoh Song of the King Pharaoh's Dreams Explained Stone The Crows Those Canaan Days The Brothers Come To Egypt/Grovel, Grovel Who's The Thief Benjamin Calypso Joseph All The Time Jacob In Egypt Finale: Any Dream Will Do/Give Me My Colored Coat
wow thats 20 tracks! I am not very familiar with Joseph, but from the reviews i have been reading amy is on stage the majority of the show! how many of those songs does she sing in?
Amy sings about half or maybe a 70% of the songs...but she has only 1 song she sings by herself with the children. The opening of the 2nd act. And yes...the cd is $22 and it's worth it. I hope all the tours and the replacements had a cd.

she sings in almost every song...most songs are duets...she sings most of the songs anyhow.

Amy Adams = sheer brilliance as a performer. I was a fan of hers during American Idol (I heart AI). I did the tour of Joseph in my home town as the children's chorus about 8 years ago or so with Deborah Gibson as the Narrator (she was out of this world!) and Patrick Cassidy. I think he was a great Joseph but too old at the time and that was 8 years ago! I'll still be seeing it this summer in Omaha to see Amy though.
