It's rather odd that there are no extras especially considering all the delays in releasing the DVD of the miniseries -- they had more than enough time to mock up a featurette or two, have interviews with the cast, Nichols and Kushner etc.... Nevertheless, I'll be picking up my copy Tuesday.

I think Magruder has the official version. I just checked the review of the DVD in the new Entertainment Weekly (it gets an A-) and the reviewer expresses disappointment that there were no bonus features included (which is probably why he didn't give it an A).
BWayBoy88, if all you saw was Patrick's butt you weren't looking close enough. And it did also have full frontal with Justin Kirk in the hospital, which is really surprising considering America's double standard with male vs. female nudity, but they did also show MLP after the "session"... but, c'mon people that nudity was absolutely imperative to the plot line... we had to be shocked... turned on even. It's important to the feel of the piece.

This was HBO's "official" response to a query:
"All DVDs have extra bonus features. What they are for this DVD has not been announced yet. So please check back at www.hbo.com/store when the date rolls around. You will also find the DVD at www.amazon.com.
I hope this information is helpful.
Sincerely, francine.thompson@hbo.com"

Well, I'm announcing that it has NOTHING.
From Playbill.com. The caps are mine:
The two-CD set of "Angels in America" will feature "Millennium Approaches" on one disc and "Perestroika" on the other. Released by HBO Video, the DVDs will include the entire six-hour movie event; NO ADDITIONAL FEATURES WILL BE PART OF THE PACKAGE, which has a suggested retail price of $39.98.

So what on earth is supposed to be the big selling point other than have it on DVD? HBO is airing it quite a bit this month and folks can fire up their own equipment.
This makes no marketing sense. I am really disappointed. I wanted to hear more than just the "Conversation" snippets you get on the website for at HBO for "AIA." Plus commentary by Nichols and Kushner and the cast...
HBO really missed the boat on this.
