Some of you are a little too comfortable with shaming. The OP never called for the plays to be closed for indecency.
That's a pretty big leap. No one has reacted as if he's called for a ban.
That particular method of staging a sex scene is familiar to stage and screen. Though a man keeping his trousers tight below his buns, rather than removing them completely, remains an artificial contrivance.
Stylized sex remains popular too. The Inheritance found a compromise in 2019. Eric and Toby's intimate scene was staged fully clothed without touching as they simulated movements. Toby felt more passion with Leo so those scenes were staged more hands on. Leo was nude for a seduction scene, but kept his speedo on for the "actual" sex later on. The inconsistency allowed them to objectify the younger actor. But it also contrasted the two relationships.

Broadway Flash is female, according to her profile.
Broadway Flash said: "Not a prude, just don’t think it’s pleasant to watch on stage. Aspects of Love they each had sex with each other (including with family members) but it was so exquisite andelegant not trashy and awkward"
I apologize for drifting off topic, but did the recent London production imply that Alex and Jenny had a sexual relationship? In the versions I've seen, Alex does lie down fully clothed with Jenny to comfort her, precipitating George's death, but there is no indication that they have sex.
For the record, if they did, the fact that Jenny is 15 is a bigger problem for me than the fact that she's his cousin. The latter fact is icky but hardly unprecedented (see: Victoria and Albert).
It never shows any of them having sex but kissing and being lustful. I think the two of them had sex because at the end, the last thing we see is him and the three women surrounding him.
