A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Maybe it's just me but when I saw it originally I thought Gavin Creel was good but now after listening to the first revival recording and doing other research about the show I thought he was incredibly miscast

The Today Show performance was good, but it does do the on stage performance justice, this had troubles with the wind/mics/hair and the set was very minimal, either way, great to see Jane Krakowski killing it!

I don't know much (anything) about the original/original revival but I thought Gavin was fantastic! And was blown away by the Today Show version. His voice is just heaven.

I thought Gavin did a great job as a smooth-as-all-heck sleazeball who is full of himself. I'm assuming that's what the character was supposed to be like??

In my mind, he's only miscast in the sense that both of the men who played him previously on Broadway (Jack Cassidy and Howard McGillin) were more obviously sleazy plus they were baritones. I think as an actor he makes perfect sense, though I won't be seeing the show til next month so I can't be sure til then.

Gavin came across as both conniving and charming, which worked perfectly for the sake of explaining why Ilona would fall for him over and over again against her better judgement. Watching his performance of this number from the front row of the orchestra was one of the most thrilling moments I've experienced in the theater in a long time.

I would hardly call him miscast. In fact, I think he deserved a Tony nomination for the work he's doing.

When I saw the show on stage I felt that Gavin was too young for the part and came across as a young boy who is trying to act sleazy. I didn't feel he was convincing enough in the role. He's one heck of a singer though and I'd love to see him do other parts.

I certainly don't think Gavin is miscast. He's so funny, sounds superbly wonderful, an incredible dancer and acting the sleazy gigolo with panache. Kodaly doesn't have to be "older". I'm glad he and Jane got some airtime and publicity. They are both a huge part of the show's success. I sat in the front row when I saw it and watching both of them, so wonderful in character, will be in my memories for a long time, (and probably forever). It's great that it got all the Tony noms but I think Gavin deserved one too.

What I found surprising was having the song performed outside given the weather. Most the onlookers were wearing jackets and coats. Not only does the cold weather threaten the health of the performers but there's also the chance of infecting other cast members. I'm glad Benanti wasn't there..

Other than that I loved the number and was impressed with Gavin Creel. As gypsy101 stated he wasn't as sleazy as Cassidy and McMillan but his Kodaly was pompous and full of himself which for me was just as satisfying. Look forward to seeing what's done on the TONY Awards

The same could be said about the Macy's Parade

When Waitress performed on Monday they were outside and it was pretty darn chilly that morning too. It was almost the entire cast which was cool. Color Purple was inside, not sure about Tuck.

I saw the She Loves Me performance this morning and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Jane and Gavin representing the show. I loved seeing that number again.
