Had a problem with the set when the shop stopped while first being opened. Stopped the show for 10-15 minutes. Cast and audience responded well. Also, very clear Laura has been sick. She sang beautifully but would pause to clear her throat and coughed as she went offstage. Very glad I got to see this. Had been disheartened by the whole applausegate thing, but she really proved what a professional and talented performer she is tonight.
I was at the matinee and they opened the house late. Wow! I wonder if it was for the same reason re: the shop?
Laura was coughing during the matinee as well, but it was pretty unobtrusive. I'd never seen her in anything (I know) and felt the same way about that tweet, but she was luminous and I was able to mostly ignore my opinions of her social media presence.
I was there tonight. This was actually the first Broadway show I've been to where the performance was stopped! It was handled relatively quickly and professionally. Can I ask where you two sat during the show? I sat in the Rear Mezz and I thought I was going to pass out because of the sweltering heat.
saw the show last night and while the set sounds like it had some problems, last night it got a healthy round of applause when first revealed

I was in the front mezz, and while I was a little worried at first about the AC, it was fine -- was in a short-sleeved blouse and capris and never felt too hot nor too cold. Sorry you didn't have a better experience!
There was definitely applause for the set this afternoon as well.
The heat/ lack of AC in the Studio 54 mezz (can't say anything about the orchestra as I haven't say there since the first Cabaret revival) has been an issue for years now. Sad to hear that it's still a problem.
I was in the front row of the mezzanine last night. ....I was a bit warm...warm senough to fan myself once or twice.
Re: the set issue -- I actually thought the audience's behavior, while positive, was incredible immature. ...at least from the mid to rear mezzanine. Every time the set moved an inch, or any techie set foot on stage, there was applause and cheering. It reminded me of high school theater competitions. ..ugh.
I did fall in love with the show and can't imagine how I had been utterly unaware of its existence before this revival. Going to pay more thought on the main thread.

I was 4th row orchestra. It was warm, just a little uncomfortable.
