I saw a video I believe on youtube where Sherie was talking about how she didnt sign for fans (because of the stalker incident) and how she changed and now spends time talking to fans getting to know them etc.
is this true or was she just b/sing?
anyone have any sherie stage door stories??
Sherie Rene Scott
I think she just doesn't like it - the idea makes her icky. It's true.
She said on the Broadway.com interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3p7c49UYAkY) that she's happy to sign for fans but she doesn't enjoy taking pictures with them.

When I went to TLM, I asked her to sign my window card, and she was a huge b*tch about it. She signed it, but when I asked for a picture, she said "I don't do that."
Also, at the CD signing for the Mermaid cast recording at the Disney store, she was again a huge b*tch to me, and when she realized I only wanted Sierra to sign the actual CD, she slid the booklet across the table with a huff.
No joke. Ask BrianIdol about the CD signing!
"This is not my son's fecal matter. He just likes to work on negative spsce".
That's my favorite.

She's made it known that she doesn't like taking pictures. I don't think that's being a huge b*tch.
It's been a few years but she was really nice about signing my Playbill one night after Scoundrels. I wasn't looking for a photo though. I've known a few other performers who felt the same way about photos.

That may be true, but it's not the responsibility of the fan to research such matters in advance and refrain from asking for one. Of course she isn't obligated to take pictures with anyone, but civility isn't too much to ask.
I can understand an actor not wanting to have their picture taken after a performance. They're most likely exhausted and may still have some make-up on.
Alot of Actors/Actress's hate taking pictures with there make up on, or if they were sweaty and thats understandable.
I have taken numerous pictures with actors and they complained how they look like a "wreck" or "gross" even a "cheap hooker"
but I dont think thats why Sherie doesnt take pictures. I mean Maybe she just doesnt want pictures of her out there I really do believe the whole stalker thing could have tramatized her.
I was robbed once at knife point and it truly tramatized me for quiet some time and I was always extremly paranoid
I think that it's fine if an actor doesn't want their picture taken, but the actor should handle the request with grace and kindness and not make the fan feel like an idiot.
I do not know if this is the case with Sherie. but I would hope that she was nice about the no picture-ness.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
I remember I stage doored once at DRS and she came out of the door on her bike. She came over, grabbed my pen then looked at me and said "If I sign one, I have to sign them all."
Next thing I knew she was down the block riding away as fast as she could.

I suppose. But it's entirely possible that merely saying no might make someone appear to be a bitch to a disappointed fan.
And as for being told that her autograph wasn't wanted, I think huffy might be a reasonable if unfortunate response.

Well, yes. I was taking the poster at his/her word that she was indeed overtly rude.
Frankly though, I don't feel any pity for performers who choose not to take part in the usual "stagedoor niceties" and subsequently get a bad reputation among online fan circles. If you can't take a few minutes out of your day to appease your fans, you should live with the very expected (and perhaps in some cases, undeserved) consequence of your fans feeling slighted. C'est la vie.
If by any chance Sherie is at the final LM show I was thinking about (if I see her) at intermission going up too her very politley and telling her how much of a fan I am and asking her to sign my Mermaid Playbill..
What do you guys think?
I dont want to stand there with egg on my face if she just says "NO"

There is nothing wrong with a performer who doesn't want to take pictures, as long as they politely say it. I have never met Sherie, so I don't know if she's rude or not, but if she politely turns down photos...there's really no problem.
Something tells me that she is probably not going to be there for the final show, i could be completely wrong but I have a feeling she wont be there
I can't believe people would call a performer a "b*tch" because she won't take a picture with you, or was not pretending your BFF at the stage door.
Some people REALLY need to get over themselves.
Personally, I have stage door'd only twice in my life and I liked how it was handled at Gypsy, someone came out prior to Patti's exit and announced that she would sign autographs but not pose for pictures.
If you're that big of a star, or think you're that big of a star - whichever, then let someone else do the dirty work for you.
What actors decide to do or not to with respect to autographs/taking pictures is their business, and certainly up to their discretion since technically they're not on stage nor getting paid to do it - but I think if someone wants to meet you enough that they'd wait after the show to see you, stalker incidents aside, I say why not take the extra 10-15min a night to meet the people that supported your show and more importantly support you. Yes yes they're tired, have lives, have families but in the end, if they do - great, if they dont - then they dont.
c'est la vie.

I think when someone seems to go out of their way to make you feel like **** for asking to get a picture taken with you, that's kinda bitchy. Seriously adamgreer, you know me. You think I need to get over myself? I've stage doored, I've been told no pictures before, and they weren't offensive about it.

I was having everyone sign the CD booklet cover and Sierra was signing the actual CD. Everyone else seemed to be totally cool with that, but Ms. Scott seemed to think that she should sign the CD too.
I like her as a performer, and that's what should be first priority. I only commented in this thread because I had had two moments with her that seemed to be appropriate for this thread.
Maybe she keeps getting mad that fans keep spelling her second name with two e's.
