Sheryl Lee Ralph as Madame Morrible.

I just thought about this but she could really play Madame Morrible in Wicked. She would be great for the role.

What do you think?

I would run to the theatre to go see her perform as Madame Morrible. I really think she shoud consider playing the role.

She can handle a much tougher role than that.

I doubt she'd take such a small part.

Quite frankly I think that almost any actress can play that role. There's really nothing much to it.

if Rue McClanahan can play the role, then it's obvious that there is nothing to this role and anyone can play it - i doubt Sheryl Lee would want to go into this show.

I seem to recall a L.A production of 'Applause' that she was in. I recommend her coming back to broadway as the star!

What is with the Rue bashing? Maybe Morrible wasn't a perfect fit but she's had a healthy and great career, and I'm tired of people spitting all over it and then praising Shoshana Bean in another thread. Makes no sense.

I agree with Foanatic.

She would be great as Morrible, but she can do much more than that. Sheryl is so talented!!! it would be a waste of talent.

Thank you Foanatic! How can you judge a whole career on one part? Especially on a part like that?(I don't need to bother bashing the show and the character, since so many others have done it so eloquently before me) But even in the last couple of years she has gotten good notices for her stage turns in The Women and Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks(out of town). And do we even have to bring up her tv career?
