All_For_Laura,
I'd like to know two things.
1) Why do you dislike the score to "Parade?" I really and truly want to know why you don't like it, as this is my favorite musical and I'm curious to see why you don't like the music.
2) If you dislike the score to "Woman in White", why is it listed as one of your favorite musicals in your profile?
Anyway, my 5 scores to burn...
1) Starlight Express (To be perfectly honest, it was the worst show I've ever seen in my life.)
2) Cats (I can't stand it. To start with, I don't like the animals, and second I just don't like most of Webber's stuff.)
3) Spamalot (I'm sure there will be many people that disagree with me, but I hate Monty Python, and I do not think this should have been made into a musical.)
4) Brooklyn (Enough said.)
5) Leonard Bernstein's Peter Pan (Very few people I know have even heard of it. Linda Eder was in it, and even her amazing voice couldn't make me enjoy the songs.)

Anyone who wants to burn Caroline or Change is clearly dumb.
now, my first one, isn't braodway but it truly bad
Copacabana. WHY GOD WHY did anyone let barry manilow write musical theatre?
all other scores pale in comparassion to the **** that man wrote. So maybe ill just take 5 copies of that to burn. (can i bring Barry along to burn as well?)

Hey Morosco - "When I first read this I thought it said 5 broadway STARS to burn to keep you warm. "
HaHa, thats morbid. Morbid, but funny.
ok, you're making me list them:
David Hasselhoff
Harvey Fierstein
Rosie O'Donnell
Patrick Swayze ( as Billy Flynn...oh my. He lost his voice in the middle of the 1st song.)
Lea DeLaria

Notre Dame de Paris (just mind-numbing in any language)
In My Life (the musical equivalent of beige wallpaper)
Annie
The Color Purple
Fame/Fooloose/Grease - they're all at the same level of basic 'annoyingness' anyway...

1-Cats
2-The Lion King
3-La Cage Aux Folles
4-Titanic (the only Maury Yeston I dislike and it goes with the ship-wreck mood).
5-The Wedding Singer (assuming the shipwreck is after June 3rd) if not Little Women.

"how can u guys say hairspray ,rent or wicked nooooooooo"
I'll actually justify that with a response: (WARNING: Everything you read from now on is MY OVEROPINIONATED SELF talking. Do not take this seriously as I'm just venting. Thank you.)
The reasons that I listed Hairspray and Wicked:
Hairspray's too fun. It's so fun, in fact, you can't actually take it seriously.
Either that, or I just loathe most 60's music. It just never struck me as a good piece of musical theatre that I should pay $110 a head to get in to see.
Wicked, like Hairspray, never really hit with me. Perhaps this is because I'm not a 12-16 year old girl, but whatever. The score proves that with this "event", Stephen Schwartz has now jumped the shark. Would somebody please explain to me the hook of the songs in this show (besides "Wonderful", the best song)?

Eastwickian,
Out of curiosity, why don't you like "The Color Purple?"

I'm not completely sure! Everyone else around me was having a great time, but I just found that the show left me completely unmoved and I think that it was down to the score. I was getting quite involved during the book scenes (though mostly I suspect due to the wonderful performances) but then yet another 'tuneless' fragment of a song would drag me out of it. The only number I could recall was the title song, and that was only because they reprised it at least twice.
It's not so much that it is the worst score I've ever heard, but I was incredibly frustrated that a musical based on The Color Purple could and should have been so much better. Which is why I want to burn it and give someone else the chance

Eastwickian,
Although I disagree, I do respect your opinion and see where you are coming from.
I do think it could have been better, but I really did enjoy it a lot. I don't think it really captured all of the pain Celie went through and what a living hell her life must have been like.
