I think I saw him on YouTube once he was hanging out with her backstage before a show.
He was a Personal Fitness Trainer right?
Do you know when it was he passed on?
^ I know it was sometime in 06. I think he died in a car crash but I'm not sure.

you are correct.
She has made very close friends "Kitty, Gamby, Sho FOR GOOD" and it seems to me that if she goes to LA she would throw this all away.
Oy, thats sad.
I'm talking to my friend and shes telling me she told me this a while back..
I'm not a big fan of her acting but her singing is pretty incredible.
I think a CD would be a good move. She wouldn't have to be on Broadway anymore, and she should like that, considering it was only a "stepping stone" anyway. I definitely think a CD would be a good move for her.
*(Please not to be taken sarcastically)*
I'm trying to figure out how changing the notes and riffing everything qualifies as singing.

Well, okay... I guess I'm still kind of on the fence about her. And she does morph the music quite a bit, but that (for the most part) gives it soul.

she would be when idina is on your list of favorite performers.
Why settle for the generic when you can have the brand name?

What are you trying to say theaterdude? Are you calling me fat?
i heard that shes guna be on trl at some point........ so if she does that i'm sure her album will be just fine..... and i love her with all my heart and soul even though i'm a little offended that theatre seems to just be an inconvienience to her

ugh actor what are you talking about? i simply said you would not like shoshana if idina was a list of your fav actors.
pants2 i agree with you. she built up a fanbase on people who liked her (and those who don't) and it seems she would like to forget them to be with Brian McNight.
Either way.
A little bit of gratitude would be nice. Not "Oh well if I HAVE to go back on Broadway I will. Oy what a pain in the ass that will be."
I was talking to Ava Gaudet who just left Rent as Maureen and is now on Ugly Betty. She was going on and on about how she loved theatre. But, when she got into the entertainment business she felt like a kid in a candy store. She just wanted to try everything ( film, tv, and record more music and do more theatre). I respect that. I can respect an actor who has done broadway but wants to do other things as well. There is a big difference if you ask me between a preformer like Bean who uses theatre as a sepping stone. And a preformer who wants to do all they can in the world of entertainment and loves doing each thing equally.
Winston, I totally respect that. It just irks me when people say Oh theater was just a stepping stone to other things.
True to that SallyBrown.

It makes me mad too, when two of her friends are Michelle Kitrell and Jenn Gambatese, who have both done a good amount of things in the industry. It seems like she feels she is better than Broadway. Many people would kill to have played Elphaba and for her to say that was a stepping stone is dumb. She should have taken Elphaba in LA if it was offered then she could have had people see her out there.
I don't eve know if she was offered the role out there. She demented the music of Wicked. She tried so much to not sound like Idina she didn't even sing the music the way its written.
"She should have taken Elphaba in LA if it was offered then she could have had people see her out there."
Somehow, I don't think she had that option.

I'm actually shocked at the amount of people who have made the assumption that she hasn't appreciated any of the roles offered to her, or anything that Broadway has done for her.
Having read her diaries, blogs, messages, etc. etc. that she's written TO her fans and FOR her fans, I know for a fact that even if some people may not enjoy her vocal qualities or acting abilities, that gives you NO right to insult her as a person, or questiion her genuineness and sincerety.
I know you BWW'ers are generally heartless for the most part (and don't even bother responding to that) but have a little respect for performers and their careers.
Every person is different. For some, broadway is the ultimate in their career. For others, it's just the beginning of a career in entertainment. We shouldn't condemn Shoshana for wanting to move onto bigger things in her career.
