I was just noticing (i'm quite slow on these things) Shoshana is in the 2000 off bway cast of Godspell. I have never seen or heard her before. Can anyone tell me what song she sings?

Kristin Chenoweth could barely control a Great Dane she trotted onto the stage. "Great, they gave me a dog that weighs five times what I do", she quipped. For the record, she weighs 93 pounds, and has a Maltese.

bless the lord. she sings it pretty good, too in my opinion.

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

She sounded awesome on the cast recording. (Mr.Foa signed mine at the flea market)

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

her "Bless the Lord" is good, until she gets into all the screeching riffs.

Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH! 8/21/05

It is AMAZING!!! But, duh, it's her!

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

I hate Godspell, and that cast makes it listenable to me. I really enjoy Shoshana's rendition of it.

bjivie2, same here. I refuse to see Godspell ever again (long story) but I really enjoy this recording because of the singers.

I love that recording. I enjoyed "Bless the Lord" a lot but Chad's "We Beseech Thee" has been stuck in my head forever. I actually saw that show off-broadway! (Sadly I was eight and can't remember much). The cast was really nice. They were glad someone as young as I was in the audience.

If Percy Blakeney were in Les Mis....

Percy: Sink me! If it isn't Javvurt!
Javert: Zsah-vair, it's pronounced Zsah-vair.
Pecry: But it's spelled J-A-V-E-R-T Javvurt.
Javert: Repeat after me Zsah...Zsah....
Percy: Oh! Zsa-Zsa! Like the Gabor sister! Well I personally have always prefered Eva.
Javert: (Looks for gun)

Hm. I didn't really like it. I bought it in a whim when i was in NYC at some overpriced CD store. Its got some okay songs, but not my favorite Schwartz work.

Sho's certinaly good on that recording, but (ducks from flying tomoatoes), I prefer the 2001 touring cast recording to the one with Sho and Foa.
