i wonder if the'll bring it to any other cities, or even bring it back on broadway, once it's closed next year.

Probably not with Griffiths and Radcliffe...I dunno...I kind of doubt it overall really.

It seems to me that this production is going to become one of those "legendary" productions that future generations will drool over and wish they had seen, and that millions of people will claim to have seen when they really didn't! There are a number of reasons that it is taking on that status, IMO.

Therefore, if you have any inclinations toward going, then GO! lol

I highly doubt that it will tour at all: and certainly not with Griffiths and Radcliffe.

I also question whether it will last to its February closing date.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Really? I feel like that's what people were anticipating, say, a year ago, but that the reaction to it hasn't turned out to be what was expected. I think people will wish they had seen it, but that "legendary" is a little bit too strong. I feel like -- unfortunately, and contrary to anticipation -- it will be one of those things that just sort of happened, and fades off without much looking back at all.

i just don't think it got the kind of critical reception in the press that they were aiming for, to be honest.

when the buzz reads more like "hey did anyone notice anna camp has no pubic hair" rather than "hey did anyone notice how brilliant that play was" then they probably missed their mark slightly.

well at least anna got a role on a hit hbo show now :) good for her.
