I will be in New York on Labor Day weekend, and I am going to catch a few shows. I am planning to see Pretty Woman on Saturday night, but I could be persuaded to see something else. For Saturday matinee, I am debating on Mean Girls or Once on this Island. Of these three shows, which two would you recommend? I love Andy Karl and Samantha Barks. I also really enjoy the music of Bryan Adams. I love Lynn and Flaherety's score to Once on this Island, but I not sure how good the show is. I think Tina Fey is hilarious, but I have listened to some of the music and not too fond. But I do love the movie! I know Mean Girls will also tour, and I could catch it in Houston most likely. What do you all thing?
Can't speak at all to Pretty Woman - far too early for anyone to really know.
However: Once on This Island. No doubt, a truly great production that lift the source material to places I couldn't imagine it could soar. (Mean Girls? Pop the dvd in.)
One thing to consider is that Labor Day is a weekend where a lot of people in NYC get out of town, and few others consider it a holiday weekend destination. I used that to get a second row orchestra aisle seat to see Bette in Dolly for regular price, and something else on the cheap (relatively speaking), as well. So, while there are never any guarantees for such things, it is something to consider...

Hotel rates are great too. We are headed in for Labor Day weekend. Seeing My Fair Lady, Once on this Island, and Dear Evan Hansen (just haven’t made it to this yet). Also taking in the Met Heavenly Bodies exhibit.
I love Tina Fey too but haven’t heard many good things about Mean Girls.

Run, don't walk. It's everything a production of this show should be and more. If you already love the score, you'll love this!
