Has anyone here seen a show, or a moment in a show that reminded them of another show? If so what are they?

"The Blame" in TITANIC reminded me of "Your Fault" from INTO THE WOODS. I expected Bernadette Peters to burst into the room singing "The Last Midnight"!

Not necessarily the moment in the show, but more the song... For Good + Defying Gravity = Who Will Love Me as I Am (Sideshow). It's something about the lyrics and the 2 women singing that reminds me of it.

The first time I saw Wicked (in SF), during the birth scene I immediately thought of Bat Boy! Especially since Sean McCourt was the father in both.

During wicked I kept flashing back to Pippin but thats cause I can hear aspects of pippin's score in wicked.

When I saw Beauty and the Beast (at a local theatre, they had to do stuff different than Disney - the costumes/sets couldn't be the same), the guy playing the Beast had Phantom under his previous roles. When Belle wants to go back and see her sick father (or something), the Beast yelled "Go, go!" and my brother and I both though, "Go now! Go now and leave me!"

I saw a production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and the Beast reminded me of clips I've seen from Phantom.

Wicked parallels AIDA in many ways (Glinda-Amneris, Elphaba=AIda, etc....) Glinda frames the show the same way Amneris does, blah blah blah. And As Long As your Mine is same style as Aida duets.

Every time I hear Wicked, I always think of Children of Eden, because the score is very similar. And when I hear Joseph...Dreamcoat, I think of Starlight Express, because some of the melodies repeat themselves.

it always makes me think of ever after - when da vinci comes to rescue daniella from her cell and get her to the ball - refering to a commoner marrying a prince she says "a bird may love a fish senor, but where will they live?"

i just realized this one. in bare when jason sings "lie with me, lie with me." it is very direct towards Rent in the "dont waste ur money on me me me me" u know?

there are so many - a few times in wicked there are a group of notes that remind me of children of eden or pippen that are so similar.
but a lot of times i'll be listening to a song and one note held a certain way or a group of words will remind me of a moment from another song. apparently, with music i think you're allowed to have 4 bars that are the same w/o it being plagerism or something like that. i thought that was interesting.
but that always happens to me and it's like de ja vu (no idea how to spell that) b/c often i can't put my finger on the song it reminds me of and then it hits me later
