What show would be good for a 16 year old guy whose never been to N.Y? Normally I'm good with these type of things but want some suggestions from others. Thanks

What is this person into? Are they already a Broadway fan? If so, take them to Gypsy or South Pacific. If not, In the Heights is fun, fresh, well-performed and accessible, Billy Elliot is the best thing on Broadway in a while, or he might appreciate Will Ferrell's show.

I'd say Avenue Q or Spring Awakening, depending on the type of person your friend is. In the Heights is another great option.

Maybe it's just me, but I always assumed that most 16 year old males who aren't into theatre generally, would prefer a non musical to a musical. NO?

If I were you I would go for the 39 STEPS or Spamalot.

I'm sure being a 16 year old boy he would love Spamalot. I'm 18 and most of my guy friends love it!

If he is a stereotypical 'straight male' teenager that hates musicals, Avenue Q.
