Posted: 12/7/08 at 9:26pmWhat is this person into? Are they already a Broadway fan? If so, take them to Gypsy or South Pacific. If not, In the Heights is fun, fresh, well-performed and accessible, Billy Elliot is the best thing on Broadway in a while, or he might appreciate Will Ferrell's show.

Gypsy
Spring Awakening
Spamalot

Posted: 12/8/08 at 1:22pmI'd say Avenue Q or Spring Awakening, depending on the type of person your friend is. In the Heights is another great option.

Posted: 12/8/08 at 2:17pmMaybe it's just me, but I always assumed that most 16 year old males who aren't into theatre generally, would prefer a non musical to a musical. NO?

Posted: 12/8/08 at 5:46pmI'm sure being a 16 year old boy he would love Spamalot. I'm 18 and most of my guy friends love it!

Posted: 12/8/08 at 6:30pmIf he is a stereotypical 'straight male' teenager that hates musicals, Avenue Q.
