I decided to go see a show tonight. I can't choose between Wicked, I Am My Own Wife, or Wonderfull Town. I've seen Wicked already. What do you guys think, and is Wonderfull Town any good? Updated On: 4/15/04 at 03:00 PM

I really enjoyed "Wonderful Town". Its a pleasure to hear that Bernstein/Comden and Green score that is worth a revival IN and of itself! Donna Murphy is wonderful!! I hear great things about "I Am My Own Wife". I just returned from seeing "A Raisin in the Sun" yesterday afternoon and "Gypsy" last night. Let me know what happens -ENJOY!!

I enjoyed everything about WT. And I can't wait to see WIFE. Are you getting tickets at TKTS? See whichever show has the best available tickets.

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

go see WT...it's highly enjoyable. i'm not a big fan of kathleen marshall, actually i don't like most of her work, but the show is very endearing and well-performed.

But I won't live alone in a house of regret.

I highly recommend Wonderful Town. It's a dated show but the music is still glorious, those Comden and Green lyrics are killer and Donna Murphy could pretty much just stand onstage unmoving for two and a half hours and be more thoroughly engaging than 90% of the other actors on Broadway right now. She's amazing and a one-woman juggernaut of an actress.
Other than that, I'd ALWAYS suggest Avenue Q, simply one of the funniest, wittiest and yet ultimately most poignant musicals in years...especially if you're in the right age bracket.

I know it's late for the original post, and while I love AVENUE Q, WICKED is by far the best show I've ever seen. AVENUE Q is the closest, and I thought it was the best ever until I saw WICKED. If you don't get the lottery for WICKED, AVENUE Q often has a few regular priced tickets left, and they are well worth it.
