I've been thinking for a little while about this, so I thought I'd ask everyone else's opinion. Do you think that a successful or long run hurts a show when it moves to Broadway from Off-Broadway? I'm just think with recent shows like "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" and "(title of show)". But then there are shows like "Rock of Ages" and "Next To Normal" that have done well? Just some thoughts...
Since the four shows you mention split the fail/success rate right in half it proves: you have just as good a chance to fail as to succeed after an off b'way run.
No matter what -- its a crap shoot.
