Yes. It's about how cats fly up to heaven on old tires after they die.
**Bzzzz** Sorry. Better luck next time. I have already posted this a hundred times, but I will post it again.
THE PLOT OF CATS
Every year the Jellicle Cats meet at the "Jellicle Ball" to await Dueteronomy (symbolic of God) to wait his judgement of who among them is worthy to be born again. Throughout the show, the cats introduce themselves to Dueteronomy and the audience to show why they are the best candidate for the honor of being reborn. At different parts of the show, McCavity (Symbolic of Satan)tries to prevent the "choosing of the cat" to occur and once even kidnaps Dueteronomy as a last resort to stop the "Jellicle Ball" (which he fails to do). In the end, Grizabella is the one chosen to be reborn, even though she is the most hated cat of them all and the outsider out of the group (Symbolic of "The Meek Shall Inherit")
Pretty much the same thing is in "A Chorus Line." They try to show Zach and the audience why they are the pefect person to be a part of the Chorus Line for the show he is doing.
about the whole subject thing, I usually do put what the post is about, but I thought that would attract more people.

Just throwing my $0.02 in on this discussion.
Jersey Boys- I can't get past the third track on the CD. What a waste of money that was. I can't imagine actually sitting through the show.
Rent- I loved this show before it became popular. It's had some great moments, but I can't stand the non-equity tour and the people on Broadway seriously need to be freshened up. It's time for it to close. It had it's place, but there are enough good shows out there that deserve a theater.
Wicked- I'm not an obsessed teenager about the show, but I do enjoy it. The book is incredibly weak compared to the actual novel, which I'm reading right now. I went with my family to see it and the both agreed there was only one good song in the show (they both like For Good). I like some of the specticle of it (the lighting is quite good in my opinion). I enjoy it, but not after listening to it 10 times in a row.
Phantom- I used to hate, Hate, HATE this show. I now, under the right circumstances, enjoy it. The Christine could make or break the entire show- I'm very picky about my sopranos. I can count on one time how many I've actually liked. It's a good Broadway staple- sometime for the tourist to see and ever since the movie I have a lot of people who now understand my passion for theater (no comments on the moive, please. These are people who can't afford to see the real thing so they enjoyed it).
The Producers- I don't get it. I don't find it funny at all. The punch lines are so predictable and the score is not very strong in my opinion.
Spamalot- I need to really see this one to make a judgement. I enjoy the cast recording. It's not something I could listen to all the time, but despite what I originally thought, Monty Python humor suits me. I have no seen the original movie either- another I'd like to see.
Cats- Ugh. There are about 3 numbers in this show that I would love to see multiple times, but the rest of it- yuck.
Miss Saigon- I've seen this show way too many times. It was my "first" musical in both recording and live. I'm not a huge fan of the tours of it that have been going around, and yes, the lyrics can be cliché, but there's something about it, I can't describe what, that I love.
Les Miz- Another one I've seen way too many times (I think I've seen Saigon 19 times and Les Miz 17). Long, yes, but there's something hopeful in the story of redemption and a guy just trying to do the right thing. Maybe I can too closely relate to all the sad stuff, but there's something noble and beautiful about their suffering. It's not one I listen to that much but I am hoping to catch the "revival".
A Chorus Line- I don't know what to say. I can't seem to find anything wrong with this show. The first time I saw it, I was enthralled and I preceeded to buy the cd on the way home (never buy cds at the theater- too expensive :)). My only complaint, if I can find one, is that the cast always varies with their acting/singing abilities. I guess a show with that many principles is bound to have some weak spots. The current revival is one of the strongest vocally, but there are a couple of people who really annoy me acting wise. If I could just pick and choose my dream cast, I would be in heaven.
Little Shop of Horrors- You have to take this show for what it is- a farce. I find it charming. I particularly liked the revival and it's not a bad school for local theater.
Avenue Q- Mixed feelings here. I find it incredibly creative and down right funny. I don't listen to it that much, though, because it tends to offend me. Why this bothers me and Rent doesn't, I'll never know (though I do hate Contact). I would love to through my consious out the window and see this show, however. What I have heard is hilarious.
Rocky Horror Picture Show- Eh. You either get it or you down. I particularly don't, but I have my weird quirks so I can understand why someone might like this show.

"it's not funny lol"? That makes no sense.
Honestly, I HATE when people stick lol after every sentence they type. It makes them look... well, everyone sees how it makes them look.
I think lol has become more of a speech filler like "um" instead of literally meaning "laughing out loud".
I'll stick my $.02 in as well, I guess...

Jersey Boys - Haven't seen it, but I have a gut feeling it wouldn't be my cup of tea, as I haven't met a jukebox musical that I did like ... does Singin' in the Rain count, since the majority of songs had been written before. Oh dear.
Rent - I love it for what it once was. The current state the show is in is depressing.
Wicked - Not a fan. Boring music, awful lyrics, and a bad adaption of a good book. It does have lovely production values.
Phantom - Don't care for it at all. And the book was way better.
The Producers - I find it amusing. Not as good as the original movie, but the OBC was a pleasure to watch!
Spamalot - Hate it. I find it to be horribly unclever. And I'm a disgustingly huge Monty Python fan (own all the episodes, movies, loads of books). You'd figure it would be up my alley, but it rubbed me the wrong way entirely.
Cats - There's only a couple of songs that I like, but I will give it points for being daring and having some absolutely amazing choreography.
Miss Saigon - Has a few good tunes, but I'm pretty much neutral towards it.
Les Miz - An occasionally-moving dinosaur. My favorite of the Cameron Mackintosh shows.
A Chorus Line - Words can't express my love for it, though I think Chicago was a twee bit better.
Boy From Oz* - Never saw it.
Little Shop of Horrors* - Cute show.
Lestat* - I will say that I've never laughed harder at a show in my life, so my twenty-one dollars didn't go to a complete waste.
Avenue Q* - Not my favorite show, but I do enjoy it very much, and am very glad that it won the Tony over Wicked.
Rocky Horror Picture Show* - Awesome, campy fun.

Jersey Boys - haven't seen this one
Rent - it's ok
Wicked - I like this one!
Phantom - I like this one too!
The Producers - much ado about nothing! So NOT worth all those Tonys and the hype. A BIG disappointment. Don't hate this though.
Spamalot - I like this one! Maybe the fact that I got on stage has a little to do with it...
Cats - sentimental favorite. Fist musical I ever saw, got me interested in musicals. No plot, doesn't matter.
Miss Saigon - how boring can a show get???!!
Les Miz - too much pathos for me. Totally overrated show!!
A Chorus Line - took me a while, but I learned to like this one!
Boy From Oz* - haven't seen.
Little Shop of Horrors - seen the film, but not on stage. Great score though.
Lestat* - haven't seen
Avenue Q* - BRILLIANT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rocky Horror Picture Show - seen the film, not on stage.
Jersey Boys - Totally hate this show
. It's not the next Phantom or anything, but it is a brilliant show. Does it really classify as a "jukebox musical" because they used Four Seasons songs? They're telling the story of the Four Seasons.
Rent - It's alright. The music is amazing, but from all the reports I've heard of "tired casts", I have no desire to see it.
Wicked - Used to love it, but I just don't have feeling for it anymore.
Phantom - Not my cup of tea.
The Producers - A good show, but tired.
Spamalot - I really don't want to see it.
Cats - Yuck.
Miss Saigon - Never heard it.
Les Miz - Never heard the whole CD, and don't really want to.
A Chorus Line - Only heard the cast recordings, but I already love it.
Boy From Oz* - Never saw it.
Little Shop of Horrors* - It's alright.
Lestat* - Didn't see it.
Avenue Q* - I love it, though the jokes do get old.
Rocky Horror Picture Show* - Haven't seen the stage show, but love the movie.

Jersey Boys - Don't love it or hate it. The story didn't interest me. It was no different than any True Hollywood Story you see on E!. I did enjoy the acting though. The music was fine. You know what you are getting. I didn't enjoy the audience sing-along that went on during the entire show.
Phantom - Again don't love it or hate it. It's never kept my interest.
RENT - I love the music. The show is fine! I would see it again if it toured in my area but when visiting NY I would chose something else.
Wicked - I love it!!
The Producers - It's fine, don't love it or hate it. Probably wouldn't see it again.
Spamalot - Never seen it but want to!
Cats - Never seen it & have no real desire to.
Miss Saigon - I love it!!
Les Miserable - Love it & can't wait to see it again this month!
A Chorus Line - I've only ever seen the movie but I have tickets for it this month & am very excited!
Avenue Q - So funny! I enjoyed it a lot.
I've never seen Boy From Oz, Little Shop of Horrors, Lestat, or Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Shows on this list I have seen:
Rent - The first time I saw it, I hated it. Then it grew on me and I absolutely love it, I'm a total Renthead. I saw the Broadway cast in May and thought they were fantastic but then, I'm probably a little biased.
Wicked - I enjoyed it, but not as much as I thought I would. It had some truly stunning parts, but some parts were really boring (especially the Wizard's songs). And the "Wizomania" scene during One Short Day terrified me.
Cats - Firstly, I've only seen it on the West End. I have very fond memories of this, as it was the first musical I ever saw and was what made me a fan of musical theatre in the first place. I loved it at the time, but the last time I saw it I was about 8.
Les Mis - Really enjoyed it (although again only seen it on the West End).
Lestat - I think I'm one of the few people who actually liked it although I do agree it was flawed. I think one of its biggest problems was that the music was very... forgettable. I enjoyed most of the songs at the time, but the next day I couldn't remember any of them.
Avenue Q - I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Every time I read a description of the plot the word "muppets" was always used, and I find the muppets really irritating. But I actually found it really funny.
"I don't listen to it that much, though, because it tends to offend me. Why this bothers me and Rent doesn't, I'll never know (though I do hate Contact). "
I hate that song too-- so uncomfortable. I don't know some times sexual things make me feel uncomfortable. Usually I don't say a thing about it
Cats Has Good Music... BUT HAS NO STORY, WHAT SO EVER!
