All Shook Up (If it didn't book the Palace Theatre, which was wwwaaaayy to big for a show like that, it would still be running today IMHO.)
REEFER MADNESS

For sure on Wedding Singer! Also Parade...and AIDA wasn't a flop, but I think it deserved a WAY longer run
I know it will be coming back to Broadway next season, but Sunday should have been revived on Broadway much earlier.

Buy the DVD. Have her at your beck and call. Unless you mean live, then that's a completely different story.
I'm praying Jenna Russel and Daniel Evans come with the show to the States.

Well I already watch her 24/7 on the OBC Into The Woods Dvd so I wanna see her Live!

Woman In White. I know a lot of people didn't like the sets, but I personally enjoyed them. The music was beautiful and Maria and Michael just wonderful.

deadparrot: Oh man, that is AWESOME! I hope it comes here
Anyway, I suppose I should stay on-topic:
Parade
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Jekyll and Hyde (if they stick more to the pre-Broadway version)
Side Show (bad lyrics, admittedly, but great music)
Ragtime

the question is not exactly shows that should have had longer runs but shows that should come back with a few changes...a second chance for success.
i think mack and mabel and smile could be amazing if some changes were made but either way i love them.

Milk and Honey. It was a hit, just forgotten.
Side Show
Caroline or Change
I know they both have been said a bunch, but I really believe that they wre both fantastic shows and deserved a long run
Reefer madness would be a dream, especially in Kristen Bell played Mary again.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
All should have had a longer run:
Urinetown
Seussical
Ragtime
Sweeney Todd revival
MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG
SIDE SHOW
Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Stand-by Joined: 12/31/69
Kelly
A Class Act
Music in the Air

I had so much fun when I saw it.
The Rocky Horror revival needs to come back!

Taboo! I didn't give it a chance myself, winter weather and all those bad excuses aside, then I got the OBCR after it closed and I could kick myself.
I'd love to see Roundabout have a go at this.
I must admit that I am surprised that no one has mentioned "The Last 5 Years" since it only lasted a few months. I've heard many people say they fell in love with it just by listening to the cast recording but only after the show had closed. It's too bad they decided to close, it seemed like a great deal of publicity was by work of mouth.
""Chess." I really hope Tim Rice can come up with the definitive version, in his heart, and bring that to Broadway and the West End. It's a very personal work to him and we all knew he was hurt by the Broadway failure. However, I think it should be completely through-sung in the style of the original concept album."
I'm not familiar with any of the versions except the Broadway version (which I only heard on CD). But I did see The Actors' Fund production which I thought was excellent. I do remember hearing thay they took a little pieces of each production. And it was truly extraordinary
