I think the revival of Sweeney Todd definitely deserved a longer run, I really liked it.
I definitely agree with those who mentioned CHESS and LENNON.

Oh yeah, I agree with Chess too. And Urinetown.
Going back to 2001...I saw the most amazing CHESS in Concert in Nyack NY. Check out this cast
Anatoly: Robert Evan (J&H) (Rob's ANTHEM to this day is heartpounding. No one looked more Russian than Rob!)
Freddy: Brian D'Arcy James (his Pity the Child was mind blowing)
Svetlana: Julia Murney (simply romantic)
Florence : Lauren Kennedy
Narrator: Norm Lewis (hammed it up)
Aribter: Danny Zolli (JCS)(One Night in Bancock rocked)
Chours: Shoshana Bean & others.

How I wish someone would perfect this show and open it on Broadway. Also, ditto on Urinetown! We need to laugh more!

WalkOn-
I agree on Smile.
I'd love it if Sunday could get another chance out on Broadway (Which it sounds like it might)
Assassins
Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party
Lennon
and yes, Urinetown should have gotten a longer run.
The Wedding Singer
All Shook Up
High Fidelity
I agree with purpleprince, Steel Pier could use a total book rewrite and be a great show. The score is great (except maybe Running in Place).
all shook up
carrie
Dance of the Vampires
If you need your Urinetown fix, then come to J.P. Stevens High school in Edison NJ on April 19, 20, and 21. Doors open at 6:30. Free peeing for all!
Shameless advertising is ok, when it's for a good cause.

Jane Eyre (though apparently there's a national tour in the works, which makes me happy)
The Scarlet Pimpernel
Parade
Goodbye Girl (one of my favorite movies, but the songs are a bit hit or miss)
Definitely Assassins. Got jipped twice.

Caroline, or Change - my favourite musical of the last twenty years.
Mack & Mabel - the score is SO good, there has to be someone somewhere on this planet who can fix that book.
I forgot one--Taboo!
I deff. agree that Sweeny needed a longer run!!! We had tickets and everything for December and then we found out is was closing early. I was soooooooo dissapointed! ='( and my friend got to see it on closing night! I'm so envious...
