TWO BY TWO - Act 2 takes place 40 days and 40 nights later.
FALSETTOS - Act 2 is a year later.

Posted: 3/13/07 at 11:14amI've always been confused by this show, but doesn't Saigon's timeline jump ahead 3 years in the middle of Act I? And Act II is merely what's been going on in the US at the same time as when we saw Kim with Tam at the end of Act I. And then of course it jumps back to the original time for the helicopter sequence, so I'm not surprised people are all confused about it. I worked on the show and I can barely remember. It's the weirdest chronological place for an act break I've ever known.

FANNY ends Act 1 with the birth of Cesaario. Act 2 start on his first birthday.
The latest revival of SHOWBOAT ended Act 1 with Magnolia & Ravenal's wedding and started Act 2 with the birth of Kim. The original version started Act 2 at the Chicago Worlds Fair just a few months after the wedding - Magnolia is not even pregnant yet.
