Last month I got my first car for christmas, and i decided that the first Cd that i would listen to in my car would be , ypu you guessed it"RAGTIME" well, Ragtime is just not good driving music, and I said "well what is a good show to drive to?" Well after looking and giving a few a try, i realized that "Thoroughly Modern Millie" is so much fun to drive to!
What other shows make good diving music?

I was listening to Amour when I got in a huge car accident that caused me not to be able to go to Light in the Piazza at the Ahmanson that night.
I still listen to Amour when I drive.
It's tinkly.

Although I am not yet a licensed driver, when my sister and I would go somewhere, we would always blast some showtunes in her car. I find that anything that has some songs that you can belt to are fun. In that spirit, I find that shows like Wicked, RENT, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, A Chorus Line, Dreamgirls, Mamma Mia!, The Lion King, even Phantom of the Opera can be great driving tunes. But then again, I listen to showtunes whenever possible, so anything will really work for me.

The london revival recording of Evita, what with it's awesome latin beats and rhythms, is awesome driving music. Who wouldn't perk up at hearing Roger's "Buenos Aires" ?
Spring Awakening all the way!
Full Monty
Bright Lights, Big City
I say Jersey Boys and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels...I blast Great Big Stuff
Fast songs.
Hairspray
Bright Lights Big City
Rent
Then again I drive fast so fast songs keep me moving
Avenue Q is, IMO, the best road-trip music. Those that know it sing along, and those that don't get a good laugh.
i think that..
spring awakening, definitely! as well as jersey boys and songs for a new world are great driving tunes. =)
oh also, suessical, mamma mia! and a lot of the mainstream shows i think.
Spring Awakening is nice and mellow, especially when stuck in traffic.
Today I listened to "The Witches of Eastwick" on my way to an audition - PERFECT!
On the way back I was satisfied with how it went, and put on "Marie Christine" - they were the absolute perfect combination.
I always say lots and lots of LaChiusa, though

Seussical, Les Mis/Miss Saigon when it's a long drive, and Ragtime!!!!
Spring Awakening is so much fun to listen to while driving.
Especially blasting "Totally F*cked" while you're driving down the highway.
For me, Chicago is also really fun to listen to, as well as Evita (London Revival) and A Chorus Line.
Hairspray
Jersey Boys (especially Walk Like a Man, Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, Who Loves You)
The Wedding Singer
THE best song to listen to while driving if you are in a rush is the overture to Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Other than that, mostly what other people have said: Jersey Boys and Spring Awakening.

Amen to listening to "Working"
Alot of 70s musicals are great, Ballroom, ACL, Company, Working...
The CD in my car at the moment has the following on it:
Various Adam Pascal solo songs
Aida CR
Cabaret CR
Tarzan CR
Chess Benefit Concert
The Producers movie soundtrack
Something else that I can't remember at the moment.
I really need to burn a new CD and spice it up a bit.
Jersey Boys and The Pajama Game are by far the best to drive to
