re: Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk vs. Side Show (March Madness, Round

Sneezy: You're right, the title of Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk does properly include apostrophes. My apologies for omitting them. Unfortunately, I can't correct the initial post to reflect this, as this would cause the thread subject to become truncated.

I have my own questions as to how that title should properly be capitalized, but that should wait for another thread. (Which I will not start.)

SIDE SHOW ALL THE WAY!
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Noise/Funk

I know Side Show is a cult favorite, but it really was not a good show. A good idea, perhaps. A couple of good songs and some excellent performers, but that's about it. I think its cult fan following has given it a reputation that has far exceeded the reality of the production.

Noise/Funk was fresh, unique, poignant, poetic and absolutely stellar. One of the best shows of the decade.
