He never was
He was set to appear in a musical Lone Star I believe. An unfavorable story (is there any other kind) broke on him. The rest is history
Seriously, I could see him doing a 1 person show on LBJ especially as he played him a few years on a TV miniseries.

Randy Quaid needs to stay in Canada (sorry Canada). He's more cray-cray than Shia Le Beouf.
