Did they disconnect their phone or do they not have a phone queue system? I keep getting a busy signal.
And the website is down.
All this because my alarm didn't go off this morning. Perhaps I should just go down there anyway...

You guys - this isn't a LADY GAGA concert - the entire run isn't going to sell out in ten minutes. I'm going to stop by the box office later this afternoon and I'm pretty confident there will still be seats.

Yes, but I'm gunning for one specific day...

Me too. The site is loading quicker now, but a "Server is too busy" notice comes up when you finally get to the actual ticket purchasing.

I can't get through either. I've been trying to put 2 tickets in my shopping card for Dec. 18th for about 15 minutes now.
I was able to load the main page long enough to see it changed and now says:
TICKET PRICES
Tickets for performances through December 19 are $20.
Tickets for performances December 21 and beyond are $85.

Looks like I'm taking a trip to the box office on my lunch break.

Good luck with that. I was only a little ways back. Still waiting to get through and people are coming out saying there's very little availability thru Dec. And forget about weekends.

You're still on the actual box office line after 40 minutes?

What a mess. Cancellation line. Way easier.

Posted: 8/3/10 at 10:45am
This is highly unfair. So all the people who can't get down to the box office will either not get a ticket or will have to pay $85? Unbelievable.

Quite a mess MB. And yes, they've gotten through maybe 10 people on line so far.

The limited availability until December thing is odd starly - perhaps the Signature is holding an even larger percentage of tickets for donors than they have for productions past (and they historically have held back a LOT of seats - which is why cancellation line is so effective.)

With a show like this with such a varied performance schedule, I have no doubt that part of the problem is people on the line checking the availability on different performance times. This is probably further exacerbated by the repertory and those who will want to see Part 1 before Part 2, making scheduling and booking even more ardurous.
I work in a subscription house and this is always a major issue with the first group of people at the windows on the first day of exchanges or single sale.
ETA- I finally got the performance date page to open up for Part 1 and the first performance that isn't "sold out for online sales" is 10/12, with the next available performance being on 11/18. Even a handful of performances in the extension period are already marked with the same designation.

Ya, I got to the performance date page as well. I chose my seats, but I can't complete my transaction because the server is too slow.
Oh, and there goes my allotted time to make the purchase =/

MB, are the cancellation seats sold for the price they were initially sold at- will tickets for the extension still be $85 on the cancellation line, or will they be less expensive?
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

It's all because ticket prices are too low! If these tickets were "Broadway prices" they could have afforded more bandwith and BO personnel. Jack those prices p!!

Cancellation tix are the same price as the regular tix - so $20 for Sept-Dec performances and $85 for the extension performances.

Guess it looks like I'll be doing cancellation line. An hour later, and I still can't get the majority of the individual date pages to load. :/

This is ridiculous. You must have to have some crazy super-computer designed by the Pentagon to be able to get through Signature's dinky website. I've had "server is too busy" since 10AM.

Ditto. I haven't gotten to the date pages or anything. I'm really upset actually.

Finally got tix. There were no Pt 1 dates before December and conveniently enough, not Pt 2 dates in December before the extension. They were telling everyone in line the only way to see the show is to do Pt 2 first or pay the $85.
