I'd love to see DEATH BECOMES HER with a Shaiman/Wittman score and starring the unstoppable team of Patti LuPone & Christine Ebersole as Streep and Hawn, with Stephen Collins as Willis.
Isabella Rossalini can reprise her role. Or Chita Rivera instead.

PASSION reunion. Donna Murphy in the Meryl Streep role and Marin Mazzie in the Goldie Hawn part, in DEATH BECOMES HER. I'd go see that.
I'd only go if the ladies wore mini-lcd screens when they get impaled.
Keep Christine Ebersole away from DEATH BECOMES HER. I usually enjoy her, but she couldn't have been blander as a very similar character in BLITHE SPIRIT.
Patti LuPone and Bernadette Peters would be much more fun.
Lord no! I'd love to see Death Becomes Her on stage - but put Lupone in it and I won't go near the theatre. I swore after the last time I would never spend another nickel or 5 minutes of my time on her.
it's sad to say that death becomes her would not work
Swing Shift might be fun. Especially if they put in a lot of 40's big band style music.

That would be one super expensive stage effect to make the currently 60 year old LuPone looking young onstage. And of course that would be if the show goes up now, not to mention the extra years you would have to hide by the time the show could be written and mounted.
How about turning the Out of Towners into a play
Maybe I missed her but where was Goldie in Fried Green Tomatoes?
No, she wasn't.
I've always thought SWING SHIFT would be good set to music.
But why has nobody mentioned BIRD ON A WIRE???

Who could we get to play Gibson's naked butt? Maybe we could get Jeremy Piven to play one of the pirahnas.
I vote for a musical version of Foul Play, as long as I get John Cullum in the Burgess Meredith role, and Elaine Stritch in the Rachel Roberts role. Their fight scene played out eight times a week would be priceless.
