Singin in the Rain

We will be in NYC and looking for a musical for Sunday October 2.  Any news on when Derek Hough will be previewing in Singin in the Rain?  I've read 2016 and also Jan, 2017.  

Any other suggestions?  (Sadly She Loves Me and King and I will be gone by our date)  

Maybe White Christmas?

Have they announced a closing date for King and I? 

This article says January 2017, so I'm inclined to say 2017.

If you love Gene Kelly and you haven't seen it, I would say An American in Paris would be a good option for you.
