Starting perfs. November 11 for 8 weeks only.

The site and Telecharge say it starts December 2 for five weeks only.
That's so weird. When it was first put up on Telecharge at least a week ago, November 11th was the first performance. I wonder why they shortened the run?

I'd guess it's booked for 8 weeks, still. But this way they can say "extended by popular demand!" when those last three weeks go on sale.

No, it's just booked for five weeks, from December 2 through January 4.
Slava on Telecharge
How the heck are they going to recoup in five weeks?

Ugh to Slava Snowshoe. I generally don't wish harm on any show whether I like the show or not, but in this case I'll make an exception. And I hope it tanks at the box office, just to show how stupid it was to close Xanadu earlier.

Who could possibly question Ed_Mottershead's logic? XANADU and SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW are produced by completely different organizations, but Eddie-Boy wishes ill to SLAVA simply because it will be playing at the theater XANADU vacated.
Did I hear someone say that Ed_Mottershead is a candidate to become a Rhodes Scholar?
Where, please, is the proof that 'Xanadu' was closed early for 'Slava'???

Interestingly, I was going to PM Dolly Pop about her insulting comments regarding me. However, since Dolly Pop does not choose to accept PMs (also interesting), I have no choice but to respond via the board. First of all, it's none of her business. Second of all, the Helen Hayes had the option of closing Xanadu early if the group involved in Slava made their availability contingent on having the theatre at their disposal at the earlier date and, ergo, we lost Xanadu earlier than expected. And now I would appreciate it if the pseudo Carol Channing would cease and desist from making personal comments, not only about me, but about any other poster who dares to differ with her.
I went to one of my classes at an office on Broadway between 43rd and 44th... well, I take the A downtown and get out at 44th... I got so depressed because they STILL have a Xanadu sign on the side of the upper marquee.

Pronoun trouble!

And this would be a compelling argument had Xanadu not failed to even last to its announced closing, but closed two weeks earlier.

This show looks awesome. I cant wait.
I saw it 4 times last time it was here (it was off-Broadway, down at the Union Square Theatre) and it was AWESOME
The first time I saw it, I booked my next ticket immediately
I don't know if it has changed at all from a few years ago, but even if it is exactly the same I'll be happy
I have a ticket for Jan 3 and I can't wait to see it again
It's sweet and gorgeous to look at, and (at least in its previous life) the Snow Storm at the end is mind-blowing
