Is the only way to get tickets for this through telecharge/ticketmaster? They have no rush...and it's never at TKTS right? Full price is what one has to pay to see this correct?

This is where you purchase tickets, and you're correct, there's no other way to get them, short of using someone else's reservation if they can't go. No discounts as far as I know. Worth the price, if you ask me.

Well that makes me sad...completely sold out the days were going to NYC. That's crazy...if only I would've discovered it sooner!

So they still have tickets for an 11:15 show. I'm so confused by this play...so basically you come in 15 minutes late? How awful is that gonna be? Has anyone taken the 11:15 time?

People are let in in small groups. The time slot you buy doesn't affect the time you get. A line forms outside and you enter in that order.

I would get there around 10:15. You have a good chance of being let in early if you're there early. At least that happened to me twice.

And I agree about the cost of this. Even if they were charging $500 it would still be worth every cent.

I don't know how I missed them yesterday, but I was actually able to snag two tickets through ovation today for 85 a piece. So I took the pair! I'm pretty excited. I got tix for this and War Horse now. If I could pull off a lotto win for Wicked now my life would be complete.

Even if you get there at 11:15, it still makes no difference. You won't miss anything, and you still have to wait to be let in in the building, wait in the Manderlay, and wait in line for the elevator. I had an 11:15 ticket once and I don't think I got off the elevator until midnight. I still had time to see the show loop twice.

The actual entry time given to you, in my experience, doesn't mean anything. If you arrive early enough to be near the head of the line, you'll receive a "card" that will allow you into the elevator early in the first cycle. So, if possible, get there around 10:15 as Jordan suggested, and you'll be just fine. And, if you don't get in until later in the first cycle, you'll have plenty of time to experience the show- don't worry.

There are really two times: the time they'd like you to collect your ticket (box office) and your entry time (bar). To someone who has never been, it might be confusing to understand. The time you are given when you purchase your ticket is for crowd control. They are hoping you arrive at that time. But in reality you belong to the block of tickets for the first round (7-10pm) or second round (11pm-2am). As long as you show up within that time block, you can get in line for the box office. Once they confirm your purchase, they don't give you a ticket, but a card (as in a deck of cards). Then you proceed two floors up to the bar - the box office is nowhere near and now your entry time is simply indicated by the card you have (they will start calling aces, sixes, eights, etc.)

I thought the times on the tickets were the time you're let into the building, not into the performance space. But like others have said, there's a good half-hour of stuff you have to do before getting into the actual performance; bag check, ticket pickup, card collection, mask hand-out, explanation of the rules. Regardless, what you experience inside is not meant to necessarily be linear; it doesn't matter where or when you drop in. And you'll have two other opportunities to see scenes that happen at the beginning of the story, because it loops three times.

Yes, that's just for crowd control. But once you go into the bar, they could care less if you stay there or go into the actual show, or go back to the bar after 5 minutes, etc.

I have a ticket for the 7pm showing tonight I'm trying to sell. Its my girlfriend's but she can't make it. let me know before tonight, otherwise I need to get a friend to go!
