Posted: 5/14/10 at 12:39pmIt's hard to imagine how anyone has any interest in this debacle anymore. I know a lot of money has already gone down the drain, but it's like watching someone forcing an elephant to copulate with a sperm whale. You might get it to happen, but, good lord, why?

Someone a while back posted a pict of the load-in with a "Pirate Queen" poster in the background.
I peeked in the other day, and not only was the PQ poster still up, there was also a large rolling cart full of backdrop pieces labeled "LESTAT -- NYC --2006." (Odd, since that was a different theater...) Do they think it's GOOD luck to surround themselves with flop paraphernalia?

Posted: 5/15/10 at 1:02amLestat sets? Why the **** would they have 18th Century Paris sets in a show about Spiderman? Besides the fact that there WAS no set for Lestat practically; it was all projections...Don't have Spiderman use it- give it to meee! I want it.

Not really. Just Lestat sets, cuz I'm a Lestat nut. Well, I take that back. Maybe just the giant love seat in Act II. That thing is cool.
But that still doesn't make sense why they'd want the Lestat sets to begin with, the show I'm assuming isn't a period piece, and even if it is- it's not in France or New Orleans... so... still doesn't make sense why'd they'd want them. O.o
I guess what baffles me more is that they're still trying to pull this off.

Posted: 5/15/10 at 3:02pmThe set is probably just being built by the same company that built Lestat. The carts were probably built to transport Lestat and so they still have their labels on them. I'm sure the Lestat sets are long gone. It is an odd omen though....same with the PQ poster...
