If it's true I would go to Vegas to see it.

However...they should just cast Elizabeth as Roxie and Gina as Velma in Chicago...it totally has a Showgirls vibe to it.

And no, I'm not joking. I think Elizabeth and Gina would be amazing in Chicago. They could even get Robert Davi to play Billy and Lin Tucci to play Mama.

It's just another example of the apparent self-loathing in the entertainment industry and, by extension, our audiences, and one more spiral downward in the dumbing-down of culture. It'll take a nuclear war to terminate the depravity and decadence, which, judging from the news, isn't long in coming. So enjoys yourselves while you can, dimwits.

If it's going to be anything like the grandeur of the Phantom of The Opera Spectacular, I'm expecting exploding volcanoes and boobies flying in from the ceiling a la Cirque du Soleil. I can't wait for the songs in the show which include:

"Where you from? Different Places"

"My Icy Areolas"

"My Red Areolas"

"Flip Floppin Cuz I Ain't Got Clothes On"

"Flip Floppin Cuz I'm In The Pool"

"Vers-Ace"

"The Fall of a Lifetime"

"Pearls on the Floor"

"Bitch"

"It's Not What I Signed Up For"

"I Can Take That"

I could go on but I'm telling you. They need to get Elizabeth Berkley to reprise her role onstage. I'm telling you they will come in droves....and I will definitely be one of them. I hope they go all out. I'm expecting Sunset Blvd. type sets.

AND since the 11 o'clock number takes place at THE END, I imagine it being called "'Bye Darlin'" and is Nomi and Crystal singing to each other in the hospital room, much like how Wicked ends with "For Good."

In fact, maybe they should just sing "For Good" at the end. Really! Watch the movie and then imagine Nomi and Crystal singing "For Good" to each other in the hospital room.

Great news i would definitely get a ticket for that anytime.
Still think the dance scenes were amazing, and i hope they use those and the energetic score of Dave Steward.
"No, no it is a Verzeeeees" or "Booby galore" would make great song titles but please no songs with p**sy in it, let's not be that gay re: So It's Come To This - Showgirls: The Musical

Yesterday we saw "blackbook" the new Verhoeven war epic movie just across the border in Maastricht, i couldn't wait for the Belgian release next month.
It is an epic story of Jewish refuge who joins the resistance during WW2, a very emotional and fast paced thriller.
They are also working on a musical version of another WW2 Paul Verhoeven movie of one of his older movies "soldier of orange" Set to premiere in 2007 and will tour Netherlands and Belgium

This is so funny

A company in the UK were talking about doing a production of showgirls on stage as a musical a few years ago and i was crushed when it diddnt happen.

I think this would be so much fun as long as they remember what made the movie soooo good was that it was sooooooo bad.

God bless elizabeth berkley's acting

Re" the pool scene. When Nomi goes under the water to "perform a Monica", how is it she doesn't get her mouth full or water from the pool? I have always wondered about that.
