Saw Some Girls last night, good show, well written & acted but Fran Drescher got the most applause. Is it due to her popularity from TV or her stripping down to bra & panties & performing risque scene during show. After show Drescher & Tierney were nice about signing autographs but Eric McCormick pulled baseball cap overhead & snuck out front door while fans waited for him at the stage door. Booooo! Eric.

I found the play to be rather second-rate, underwritten, underdeveloped, superficial second-rate Labute that was more than a bit boring in stretches. The tv cast simply emphasized the mediocre tv movie feel of the production. While McCormack was still very much in Will Truman mode, the others were at least passable.

If all you want are autographs, skip this trifle of a play and wait at the stage door.

Saw this Saturday matinee and have to say that I agree with Margo. Only a handful of sharp lines or observations in the play, McCormack plays it rather one-note throughout, though he does get a bit more varied opposite Maura Tierney in the last vignette. Drescher is trying hard not to be Fran Fine, but, instead, seems to be trying to channel Bebe Neuwurth's Lilith character from "Fraiser." This hardly seemed like a LaBute play, but more like a Neil Simon (who I really don't care for, so this is not a compliment). Don't bother going unless you can't live without seeing "Will" or "Fran" or whoever Tierney plays on "E.R." Oh, and if you do see it and wonder why McCormack is constantly getting water from the hotel fridge, just consider the "Water provided by Evian" credit in the Playbill!

i'm really glad i didn't waste my money on this then. that seems really shady of McCormick to do that though! why do theatre if you want ZERO interaction with the audience?

The first night of previews, Eric McCormack, Judy Reyes and Brook Smith spent tons of time signing outside and mingling with fans. Drescher and Tierney didn't - they both took off. It's just luck of the draw, but that night Eric McCormack was incredibly nice and signed as well as took photos with everyone (and there was quite a mob).

Well, he does have a family. Perhaps he had, gasp, a life to get to?

I went for my second time on Saturday afternoon and Eric stayed for quite a while signing autographs and taking pictures. It is just the luck of the draw. Everyone signed that day but Fran for the matinee. She came out holding her dog and people still followed her down the street. I had met her Thursday night when I saw the show and she was very nice. As matter of fact I was trying to give roses to Maura onstage on Thursday but she wasn't looking down and Fran got her attention to receive them. That is the first time I have ever given flowers to someone onstage before, so I wasn't sure if it was appopriate.

I gave a rose to Brooke Shields in Wonderful Town once, but she was the lead in her show, I'd feel bad if i had flowers for one cast member and not for the others, SCB: what made you get flowers for Maura and not for Fran for example? just asking, now looking back, i feel kinda bad i gave a rose to Brooke and forgot about the rest of the cast, but they were like 30, so it was too much.

I am a fan of Maura from ER, but didn't watch the Nanny. I guess I should have waited to give them to her at the stage door. My thinking was that she may want to leave them at the theater and not have to carry them with her wherever she was headed out to.
